Thanks Tony and Pap
I try to get out every weekend that I can.
I have a big hiking trip planned for September in southern Utah, one of my favorite places, and will revisit, Bryce, Zion, Arches, and Canyonlands at least.
I plan to take many pictures, but dogs won't be going

September is a great time to be in southern Utah. Keep in touch Peter as we are currently working in Utah but don't know for how long.

Saturday was another nice day for hiking, a little cooler than last weekend, and fewer ticks. Multiple stream crossings on this hike give the dogs a chance to splash around. I included a picture of the hiker lunch for Tony (Smoked ham, provolone, on Ciabatta bread) I had to have the Woodsman in a picture too.
Leave are just starting to come out and before too long the mountain laurel will be in bloom.
Peter

Hi Guys
We went out on Saturday again, weather was overcast, in the 40's and windy, not nearly as nice as last weekend. Things were going well until it started snowing . Fortunately it wasn't very hard or for very long, but it was a shock from the 70's we had last weekend. It was better than staying home, and I need to get in miles before I go to southern Utah in the fall for about 10 days of hiking.

The weather was better than expected, so the boys and I went out again for a short hike.
Check out the burl in the last picture, I would love to see what the grain looks like in that.

Peter-

Keep me posted about your dates to be in Moab. I may drive down and visit as we are working in Salt Lake and it is only a 4 hour drive. Are you flying to Utah or driving?

Thanks Tony and Pap

Pap, I am flying into Las Vegas, and driving to the various National Parks. I will be with a group, so I don't know my exact schedule yet other than I am flying out Sept 18.
As it gets closer, I will know more
