Hi Duke

I greatly enjoy hiking and outdoor photography and am glad that others enjoy my trip descriptions and pictures.

I was surprised how few leaves were left in Quehanna as we have plenty of leave in the state forest that is local. I think that the higher elevation and more northern location is the reason that most of those leaves were gone already.

I am sure that PA has plenty of ugly areas, but I avoid them most of the time.
I spent most of today raking leaves in my yard, mostly from cherry trees. The oaks and maples haven't turned yet.

Peter

Great pics, Peter. Our fall colors are still hanging for a while longer, but will be gone soon I expect.

It was a cool and breezy day, so a nice temperature for dogs.
Our leave have fallen most places, particularly my yard.
We went for a nice hike this afternoon and kicked out one whitetail.
Peter

Hi Tony and Cap

Ticks are bad again. I hardly saw one all summer, but they are back in force. None on me, but a lot on the dog hair but none attached. It looks like we might have some frosts this week and hopefully that will kill some

Sun or no ... it's always nice to get out!
How are the Boys with all the ticks? Must be easy to spot them on the white coats.

A cool and breezy day here in central PA. no real snow at my house, but there was a little in the woods, but not enough to cause trouble or ski.
Ice at the stream was nice to look at.
