Peter,
See any "buck" tracks?
Best, Capt. Chris

Hi Capt. Chris
No big buck tracks yet, but I expect to be seeing fresh buck rubs pretty soon. The area I was in, had quite a few last year.

I took the boys out today on the Long Mountain Trail and the Greenwood Spur
We passed a small stream several times, the gas line cut, some leaves starting to change, and a long critter without feet.

Nice photos Peter.

My family and I just spent the weekend in the mountains of North central Pennsylvania, just south of Towanda. We saw lots of whitetail deer, as well as a black bear, out on the trail.

Peter,
Nice shots of what look like a wonderful day!
I wonder what kind of snake that is? I saw a black snake like that in the low mountains near
Bear Mountain NY.

Looks like a regular black racer to me, with the white throat.

Another nice weekend, and we were on the Allegheny front trail in Black Moshannon. The trail parallels the stream quite a bit, which the boys really enjoy. We saw this giant mushroom, and the leaves are just beginning to change.
We kicked out quite a few grouse too. A good time was had by all.

Thanks Capt. Chris and Tony
I try to get out every weekend I can and take the boys for a hike. I really enjoy it and I know they love to sniff the different smells. The streams and mud are another thing they like, and I love to take pictures, especially as the seasons change
