For those of you wondering why the " Loveless Knock-offs, You have every right to wonder, and possibly scoff. There is an explination that goes much futher than the expected copying. Hope you accept the answer. I',ve been a fan of the Loveless Knife for over 40 years. i'm 51 at present. If it were not for Bob Loveless I would not be making knives today. I am and always will be hooked on the Loveless Knives. For many years now, my knives have sold well for me. In 30 years of making, I've probably made a couple thousand knives. They've all sold quickly. No matter how hard I tried, They all had a Loveless influence. Bob and Jim have decided that they want the Loveless tradition to continue, after they'er eventual retirment. As I am an absolute Loveless fanatic, and have been working in the Loveless Style for many years, They have honored me with the tutalage, patterns and many hours of guidance to bring you the Loveless Connection Knives. They are from original Loveless patterns, and made to His exacting specs, using Bob adn Jims techniques, and methods. They are much more than a simple, typical copy. They are as close as you can get. "Period". Bob has even Authorized the use of the Nude Logo. Changed in two important ways. First, She wears a Smile, for Lovett, rather than a forlorn look for Loveless. A play on our names. Secondly,As i am a Texican, She wears a Rose on her nether region. She is "THE TEXAS ROSE" Bob has also seen to it that the Foot Ball shape logo is exact as well, by getting me in touch with his logo maker, and clearing the way. Bob would like to see his Legace continue, and is pleased that a person can again afford to use the Loveless knives again, rather than the domain of the wealthy colector only. This decision has been made between, Bob Loveless, Jim Merritt(His Partner), and myself. We can only hope that you accept, and Enjoy. WE Are. Mike Lovett

Thanks Mike, I am glad you are making knives. These knives are well made and at reasonable price. With that it makes them fun to carry/collect. Looking forward to seeing more blades from you in the near future.

Hope I didn't do anything wrong giving out my PH# and E-mail. Not wanting to make money or do buisness on the forum. Just here to enjoy the Loveless knives and the conversation, like everyone else. Mike Lovett

No problem here. I appreciate your contributions to these Forums. Your maker thread was moved so as to place it in it's proper Forum, Loveless Inspired/Style Knives.

Best regards,

Rhett

I just got the special contact wheel "As Per Bob Loveless, and Jim Merritt"in for grinding the Loveless style daggers and Ny York Specials. Ground out a couple of the NY's today. Looking foward to building a few daggers. Have several Sets of three ordered here in the shop. Mike
