My friend and coworker Mike's reserve unit was sent to Afghanistan recently, and I appreciate your efforts.
I sent a box to Mike last week and hope to get an email from him when he receives it too.

A note received a few days ago from a Special Fighter in Afghanistan:

"Tom, I sent a thank you note to you today, I have to say how great the packages were. They without a doubt were the best we have ever got and my guys are ve4ry very thankful. The movies are a hit and the food stuff always goes over well.

I am trying to get a movies night started once a week so those will come in huge!

Again Tom I personally thank you and appreciate any and all you have done for me, my guys and fellow soldiers."

The movies the Sargent refers to were donated by Cory Kappler.

Today, May 21, is National Armed Forces Day. The day that honors our United States active military. To honor them, and to honor you guys that ponied up to send care packages to Iraq and Afghanistan Special Fighters a few years back, I brought this thread back to the top.

I hope and pray that most, if not all, of them are back home with their families.

Great job guys & gals!

Thanks Tom, for bringing this BTTT, and for all the work you did. Daggone, a lot of contributing, hunting and gathering......AND fund work,packing and shipping.
Seem like, again, a large part of our country forgets day to day how many service men/women still man the wall.
