Thank's for answers. Yés, I believed also it was stabilised.
Gets very nice shine on the handle and the colours are fantastic.

I noticed that all of the Triathletes I have seen posted on the web recently seem to have a bead blasted handle. The ones in my random assortment have only a slight variation in the finish from blade to handle. Did this feature change along the way?

Current ones have a bead-blast in the area your hand would contact. Earlier ones...not so much.
Best, Capt. Chris

With a few exceptions like the 50th. anniversary commemorative and first generation miniatures, if it has no "S" next to the trademark it's a carbon blade.

I thought y'all might like to see Don Hedrick's latest mini. I bought the finished mini Triathlete from Don and after finding some fossil Mammoth tooth scales I asked Don if he would handle the mini in FMT. I think it came out great! You can see Don's mini Triathlete before the handle work in the insert next to a full sized Randall Triathlete shown for scale.

For all you guys that like these Triathletes (I don't but hey there's no accounting for taste sometimes) there is a real nice one with elephant ivory scales for sale on gunbroker right now. I usually jump on all the Ivory I can find but this one just doesn't grab me, thought I'd pass along the lead for you guys that do like 'em

I just bought a Triathelet from the seller with the Ivory one. It should be here tomorrow. I have been watching the Ivory one as well.

Very nice Triathlete mini. Don does exceptional work and I had never seen a mini like that before. Great choice on handle material too
