There's plenty of open space for glue to bond it all together without pins. Some like pins "but" on this knife I like the clean look. The lanyard hole I wish were slightly larger if you wanted to use it with "something". Don't know what would fit in that small hole and still be functional.

Here's a Tri that Mr. Gene Beal just finished for me. I asked if the person that checkers his 1911 grips could do a knife, and this is the finished product.
I think it came out pretty nice smile
Ivory scales, with a custom Gutchers hornback gator sheath.
