Lets at least make this at least a little different than all the 10's out there. I see Rosewood all the time, Aluminum not as much but still common. Nice wood is such a treat and the Capt. has some great stuff.

In answer to the question of slippage in an aluminum handle..."NO"...not a problem.
Weight? That's another story. Aluminum is bullet-proof..."but"...(There's that word again)...quite a bit heavier than you nay expect.

If this is supposed to be one of the "starter" knives, then I change my vote to rosewood. That was my first #10 and it's still in use from 1978 and pretty as ever.
