Choice B) This is natural paper phenolic. It will give a finished product, not unlike the coloring of the old brown micarta. I see no reason why this would not make an excellent and unique choice.

Choice "C" is a stabilzed and dyed flamed/quilted maple. Good character and not any noticable burls (knots) to contend with. Should make a nice knife.

Choice "D" is a fine example of stabilzed Amboyna burl woos! Great figure, dense and little or few knots to contend with. Another quality choice.

Coice "E" is a cherry red phenolic that is a new material to me. It was sent to me, either as a sample, or by a customer who didn't care for it's color and ability to turn darker. This could be the "dark horse" of the competition!

Choice "F" is an old favorite, California buckeye burl! The "burl" would be my reservation as, when cut into bologna skins for a model #10, something could "pop out"! Still: It is quite popular and I knew that if I did not include a piece someone would ask about it.

Choice "G" was another no-brainer: My bone linen micarta. I have quite a lot of experience with this micarta. The Randall shop loves it, it has it's own personality and no issues, so far as I know.

OK, Crew:
The beginning of the end. Please, by all means, discuss these choices amongst yourselves and plea your case for your favorite. You may vote for more than one choice, but no more than "3". Let's hear from ya'!
Best, Capt. Chris
Re-cap (it's not always a tire):

A) Red Mallee Burl
B) Natural paper phenolic
C) Blue/green stabilzed flame maple
D) Stabilized amboyna burl
E) Red cherry phenolic
F) Buckeye burl
G) Bone linen
