Very satisfied w/ Ruger LCP. Older model, added laser. However, did not have a chance to test the Kimber! I had previous history w/Rugers and that drove my decision.

The Ruger LC9 would be more comparable to the Kimber Solo, they're both 9x19mm. The Ruger LCP is .380 (9mm Kurz, 9x17).

I would go for the S&W M&P Shield 9mm first, but they are extremely hard to get now. I would recommend the Ruger LC9 if you can get one.

Guido,
The Ruger LC9 and the Kimber Solo are both good choices.
The Kimber is twice the price of the Ruger,Both are hard to get at this time. As Rob said so is the S&W Shield..Good luck in your search...

I don't own an LCP, nor the small Kimber, but I can speak for the Kimber based on my Crimson Pro Carry. it a well made gun.... and shoots great.

I have been interested in a Shield for a while, but finding guns or ammo right now is just crazy.
