I ordered this 4 or 5 years ago from the shop and just got it a couple of weeks ago. I was initially going to use it, then display it and then decided that I'd rather have a different Randall. I put it up for sale on another site for $700 shipped CONUS, which is slightly more than I paid for it.

But, I'd rather have something I could use. I'd like to have something like a 14 standard. Unfortunately, that's not a good trade for me. So, I'm wondering if someone's got a 14 out there and a 10-3? Would that be a fair trade? Adding the prices together make the two still cheaper than the cost of the 12. (EDIT: Also interested in 1's, 24's, 16's. Maybe one of those with a 10-3? Not looking for anything fancy--I'll be using these, no options necessary.)

Anyway, I'm putting it up here if anyone has any interest. If no one's interested, I'll just throw it in the back of the safe for the future.

It's brand new, delivered in 2013. Never sheathed, sharpened or used to cut anything. I'll ship it in the same packaging with paper from the shop like I got it.

Thank-You Cap, wasn't sure. I compared the two: Smith vs Confederate before I asked, saw the differences there. Have they always noted that (hilt designation) on the sheaths? I cannot remember having seen that before.

Randall has done that for a good long time...but not always. I think sometime in the mid-late 80's.

I didn't even realize that until you guys pointed it out. Why would they stamp the type of hilt on the sheath? Is the top of the sheath where it meets the hilt cut differently for each hilt style?

I think it is just the forward curved hilt that has it's sheath stamped C. The Captain give provide final gavel of consent!

Knives with a forward curved hilt have the front of the sheath cut different than sheaths for a normal hilted RMK.

Correct...both Rod and the Cajun. If you look at the photos of the front and back of the sheath you will se a slight curvature. If Sullivans didn't denote this slight variant the Randall shop could easily snap up the wrong sheath for a knife order.
