Hemingway--

It can be carried EDC pretty comfortably and out of sight. Contact Mike Sastre at (937) 452-6225 if you are serious about carrying it. But know the local laws just in case!

Larry, I was just kidding. I won't carry it. In fact, I'm not even sure I'm going to keep it. If I do, it will just be for display. My 25 does everything I need! (I spoke to Mike a few years ago about a sheath for a different knife, now that I recall)

When I was younger, I'd watch the Iron Mistress over and over. That's really why I bought the 12.

If any of you guys have ever held one, it balances amazingly great for such a heavy hunk of steel. It really is a cool piece.

Hemingway--

A long-time Randall dealer recently told me about the new customer who came to him and asked to order a Smithsonian. As they talked, it came out that the customer planned on using the knife to clear brush. Considering the heft of the knife, the dealer suggested that for that application the customer would be better served if he were to buy a machete instead. This irritated the customer to the point where the dealer thought he was going to be angry enough to cancel the order, the customer saying something like "I know what I am doing and thank you very much!" Anyway, the order went through, the customer got his Smithsonian, and for all that is known he is still swinging away against whatever offending foliage he might want to take on with it.
