Great looking model 8, I really like the grain and the color of the wood.

Rex,
Gene Beal and I cut a large block of Lignum Vitae this past week. (In my spare time) It took 45 minutes and lubrication to the large carbide bandsaw blade to get it done! Gene purchased this bandsaw recently from Italy (Hi Guido). It has a 5 HP motor! It was "still" a chore!
Great knife and incredible wood! Best of luck with it.

Rex,

That is an awesome piece of Lignum Vitae! I love the parallel grain structure.

Here is my Model 8 with Lignum Vitae.

Jim

I've never seen a handle like that. Do you have any other examples? The brass is a nice complement.
