7" for me. I personally cannot use the 14 style deep finger grooves, especially with gloves. My hands are to big. I feel the standard or commando handle are more versatile IMHO. I would grind down the handle on a standard 14 to make the grooves less aggressive. The right or left handed grooves do fit a little better. I like being able to hold the knife blade up for various tasks.
