This is a Nordic with a #22 style handle and a "Crow's Beak" butt cap. Notice how there is a little less "wiggle room"?
Best, Capt. Chris

It should be noted that, even though the crow's beak crowds your hand more than a border patrol, the example shown above also has a "forward curved double hilt" which gives you some more room and helps considerably. A border patrol with forward curved double hilt gives you even more than this one!
Best, Capt. Chris

If dropping the Finger Grips makes the knife more versatile, I'm OK with forgetting about that option. I just thought they look good on a Leather Handle.

That #14 CDT BPH w/Brass Butt Cap looks awesome!

Here's a border patrol with a butt "plate". It is even a smoother transition.
Best, Capt. Chris

That #16 full tang with the FCH looks like it could take anything. That would get my vote.

Great examples Capt. Is the humpback available on a #1?

Rob I am with you on that CDT#14. That baby is nice.

To the best of my knowledge, that humpback handle is only available on the new #4-6-"F". The tang is forged and shaped differently on this model. That's why there are no other handle shapings available on the new #4 fighter.
Best, Capt. Chris
PS: I'm glad ya'll liked the pictorial...CCS
PPS: Another Model #4: This time with a #22 / crow's beak combination...

Everybody's "best fit grip" is always a little different. One of the reasons I'm so pleased with the #15 Airman I just posted on "Knife of the week" is the weight, balance, combination of BPH with FCH; all reasons that I'm sure that others would NOT like it; plus that the finger grips like #14, 15, etc. (underneath) just are not large enough or comfortable. Ain't it great having so many choices!

A couple of pics from Ft. Jackson this weekend. The fellow in the black shirt drinking coffee is SSG Sinclair. The 3 fingers indicate THIER "compliance" with the Captains directive to drink no more than 3 beers...
