CC-FT's and SGT's models both have 5 inch blade, Pappy, not 5 1/2". The SGT is quite a bit beefier. Any of the suggestions will work just fine.
The last Randall the RKCA made was a Sergeants Model for a Sergeant and he looked pretty satisfied with it to me. He was already retired and Sgt Sinclair looks to be far from it.
Consider evrything ya'll think might serve him best...Keep it up.

How about a APFK with 8 or 7 inch blade. I know for a fact when you pull out a 8" piece of handforged steel the natives take notice.

I think a Model 15 CDT would be a good suggestion.

I agree with asking him what he would like.

SSG Sinclair doesn't really know much about RMKs, he remembers me carrying mine in Iraq. Peters 1-8 with sawteeth sure looks nice to me, but whatever is decided will surely make the old Sarge happy. He probably will carry it if we get it to him in time.
