We shoot them and give them away, but also shoot them and leave them to rot. They are a huge ecological problem, and in fact are the #1 ecological problem in the State of Hawaii.
They are a non-indiginous species, compete with native species for food, destroy crops, eat anything and everything to include endangered species, are nothing more than a problem that needs to be eradicated. See one, shoot it, whether you are going to eat it or not.
