This is such a rollercoater, I am having a very difficult time being strong. My little girl is having very, very bad hallucinations. At this point it is hard to determine if they are from the TTP or the medicines they are giving her. When you read about Haldol and Adavant(?), it's almost like they cause as many side affects as the cure. Sometimes Terry is responsive to commands, but most of the time she is in a whole different world. Like one nightmare after another. Her little hands move like she is doing some task but nothing is there. I rub her back and legs and she seems to enjoy that. We have shown her some newspaper headlines and she can read most of the words. She failed her swallow test and has not had any liquid food in her stomach since they took the breathing tube out. Her bloodshot eyes are getting some better. When she had her seizers, she broke a number of them in her eyes. Her red platelets count went down from 38 to 29 yesterday. Normal is 150. We are praying they will go back up again. The doctor said that she will be in ICU for at least 5 more days and maybe longer depending on her progress. When you see Terry in this state, it at first is a little comical since we all know how smart and organized she is, then you realize how devistating it is for her brain to be going through all of these hallucinations. One wonders how much of this her brain can take without doing some damage. I am praying the Lord gives us back our Terry Dee just the way she was in both mental and physical health. Also please pray for me as I really need the strength. Thanks.

Pap
