Just an update for all of you that gave me such great support and for the many prayers for my daughter Terry Dee. She posted this just a while ago on the "carepages" blog:
Hematologist Appointment
Posted 2 hours ago
I had my Hematologist appointment on Thursday and he said everything looked really good. My blood levels are at normal levels. He said I had to live my life and not constantly thinking that the TTP would come back. Dr. Langerak tapered my Predisone down to 20mg a day and my anti seizure medications. I also have to get my blood drawn only once a week on Mondays.Yeah!!!!! God is so good and has answered so many prayers. Thank each and everyone of you for your prayers.
Yesterday my friends, Donna and Jenn brought lunch. It was so good! Donna told me on Facebook that she got to meet the Doctor who diagnosed me in the ER. Her name is Dr. Grace. Donna works at St. Als which is the hospital I was admitted.
Donna told me her conversation with Dr. Grace. Donna saw Dr. Grace's name tag and said that she owes her a big "thank you" for saving my friends life. Dr. Grace asked her who was the patient. Donna said Terry Elmore. Dr. Grace proceeded to get teary eyed and told Donna that she really thought I was going to die that night and was not going to make it. She told Donna that I was a real fighter and that I had such a huge support with family and friends. Every time I hear things like this, it makes me say Thank you to our Lord and Savior for sparring my life. It is hard to wonder why the Lord spares some people and takes some others home. Jeremiah 29:11, I know that I have plans for you.
Please continue to pray for my good blood levels. Also, it was an eye opener when I feel asleep the other night on the couch and my son, Hayden woke me up just to see if I was alive. This ordeal has changed our life, but God is in control. Please keep Hayden in your prayers also.
This last week Hayden started Optimist Football practice. It is fun watching these little guys play like the big boys. The smoke from the fires seem to be worse in the afternoon and evening. There are over 240 fire fighters trying to put out the Springs Fire which has spread to 3000 acres.
I wish I could hug each one of you. Have a wonderful weekend.
Love-
Terry Dee Allen Elmore
