Your comments bring us back to agreeing just what is a "By God" serious hunting knife.

My own thinking so far has been a knife primarily for processing game in the field and otherwise light duty as required. Not necessarily making camp, fighting off grizzlies, or even butchering the field-dressed game.

If we want to define it as being a general-purpose cutting tool, and take into account a wider range of possible chores, that would change my thinking.

Wonder what others think.
