James, yes that was me.

I had been looking for a Stanaback Special, and I liked the leather handle on that knife a great deal (I love the retro look and feel of stacked leather). I felt that the price was in a pretty reasonable range for one of the original 200 numbered Stanaback Special Type II knives.

Now all I have to do is find the matching number for a Capt. Chris' Type I dealer special (the type II number was under 100). I know, good luck with that.

And I've just really messed up my budget for the month by ordering a Buxton Fighter from their website. Don't worry honey...it's really an investment (at least in me maintaining my sanity if nothing else).

Thanks again for the information and words of wisdom for a new collector. And I know how it feels to miss the end of an ebay auction. I do it often enough myself.
