Some of my favorites were: Captain Midnight and his sidekick, Icky Mudd, that's Mudd with 2 d's!, Roy Rogers, Wild Bill Hickock and Jingles, Andy's Gang, The Lone Ranger and Tonto, The Cisco Kid and Pancho, and of course The Mickey Mouse Club. I never missed The Mickey Mouse Club at 5pm. Annette and the Tripple R Ranch bunch, kept my interest.

Oh yeah, 2 of my favorites, Victory At Sea, and The Silent Service. Great documentary films.

Lassie was an early favorite, later Gunsmoke & The Rifleman; I just loved that Winchester 92 with that big loop.

Rawhide, Have Gun - Will Travel and Maverick

The Virginian was my favorite, he was kind but tough. James Drury is now 83.

I really will be dating myself and say the Howdy Doody Show. For one show,I was in what Cowboy Bob called the Peanut Gallery.

The show was broadcast from the Empire State Building that I could see from my home in NJ.

Most of the shows back then, where broadcast from there including the I Love Lucy Show.

Hopalong Cassidy , I had everything two Hopalong cowboy suits, guns and gun belt. Sheets , Pillow cases , and blankets , the "Bar 20". Loved the show no doubts and he had a message at the end of most of the episodes how to be a better person eg. Respecting police officers and more

You can tell Eric is younger than some of us! I liked a lot of the same things but don't have the same fondness for them today. I guess their "innocence" just doesn't resonate today. The cartoons hold up better, I think.
Of course...That's just me. I hardly watch current TV (series) kind of stuff. Seems I spend most of my TV time watching rich folks spend their money$$$ Barrett/Jackson and Mecum style!
Best, Capt. Chris
PS: I did enjoy the 3 series event: "Sons Of Liberty"!!
