Here's a couple of new ebony handled fixed blades...a wood carver that is about 6.25" and a leather knife that is just under 6".

Kerry , awesome "work" knives with nice leather wrappers to keep them safe. I really like the ebony handles too. Who did the mountain goat? My uncle was a wood carver and I inherited my love of making shavings with well made and well sharpened knives from him. Unfortunately I inherited none of his artistry. I would have loved to see that carver at work in his huge, rough hands. Almost everyone is lucky enough to have a mentor in his history and he was mine. Thanks Unc!

These are very nice - wish I had one to let some chips fly with.

Love these blades with ebony scales, and your layout is nice.
But I don’t really see any difference in the knives other that the wharncliffe on the right one has a little more hump on the curve.

Is one in thinner stock than the other?

The carving is one that belonged to my grandmother and I doubt that she did it, although I think she did try to carve a few things.

John, I think the blade stock is the same. I don't have them with me to compare at the moment. The smaller one is just a little bit smaller, around a half in smaller is the only difference I believe.
