Having some obstinance from a project leader once, I blurted out to my assistant "You can lead a horse to water...but first you have to be able to get a halter on him!" Maybe the halter here is offering something outrageous like a "freebie." But that would be ridiculous...and Capt. Chris or the rest of us should not ante up to do that!
