Like all of you, I really "like" beautiful wood.

Properly cured and/or stabilized, it is far less likely to crack than ivory--the other traditional natural material after stag.

Considering the possibility of wood cracking, it is a risk for the shop to offer their own wood along with their backing it up with their warranty.

But it sure adds something to a nice knife to dress it up using it.

Enjoyed all the knives, lusting after some of them, but nobody can have them all.

I had a pair of them too, the 7 and 5". Since I wasn't ever going to use them, I sold them about 12 years ago. Cool models though.
