Coach,
Remington pretty much moved everything to ,I think,NC. They had some start up problems but now I think they are back to full,better production.

The newer 870s are a far cry from the earlier models,a number of cost saving (somewhat) modifications were made. I guess they are fairly good but not like the older ones.

I have a 7400 in 30.06 that has NEVER misfired.

I’m fixing to put a pistol grip stock and a thermal scope on it and make it my night hog gun

DRT makes some terminal shock 30.06 in 175grains. Ought to be good

That sounds like that would be nice. My preference is for the standard stock but that is me. The 7400 is it rifle length or carbine??

I guess that any 150+ grain weight bullet in the 30-06 would be pretty good for the hogs.
