Any one know the price for a waxed sheath for a model 28? It will be a replacement. Thanks , Oldguy

The latest sheath price list I have is 2020, and the “B” Type of no-hone sheaths for the Model 28 is $60.00. That price may have increased since then. The 2022 price list shows the upgrade to a waxed sheath is an additional $20.00, so you can figure it starting at least at $80.00.

Add $40.00 for a round-trip from you to the Shop and back to you for a replacement sheath, as the Shop needs your knife for the final installation of the snap on the leather strap. The replacement sheath will have an additional “R” stamp on the back identifying it as a replacement.

The Shop’s policy is not to sell the replacement sheath unless the customer’s knife is present at the Shop.

Captain Chris may have a 2022 sheath price list, and can provide a more accurate figure to add to the $20 waxed upgrade that I have on my 2022 price list.

So, figure a starting point of about $120.00 for the sheath and the trip to & from Orlando for your Model 28. I recommend sending just the knife via USPS Priority Mail/Insured/ Signature Required (about $20).

PS: Sorry Buck but the only Model "B" sheaths @$60.00 are "small knife" sheaths, i.e.: #21, GTR..."UNDER" 4 inches. $65.00 is the base for the "others", to include #28, Woodsman.

Thanks, Chris for the correction. As noted, I am working with a two year old price list for the model 28 sheath.

I’ll have to call Caroline to get all my additional updated current price lists.

I have a question on waxed sheaths. Does Sullivan dip the sheath into melted wax, or do they just apply the wax to the exterior surface?
I have applied leather dressing wax to "User" sheaths that were not Waxed at Sullivans and gotten good results.
