El Paso Saddlery makes some mighty fine stuff. I have a few of the Tom Threepersons crossdraw holsters.

I think it was Memphis,TN PD years ago had issued the Model 25 to their officers. It was chamber for the 45 LC but could also use the 45 acp rounds with mood clips.

Officers would have the first six loaded with 45 LC and then reloads were in the 45 acp with full moon clips.

Some years back,I had met one of the Memphis PD SWAT/Cobra team officers.

Their choice of sidearm was the good old Model 1911.

Seems that is the choice of most teams. I guess they go with what has worked for many decades.
