Nate-Dogg,
I did not know that Buck 371s came in stag. I could be wrong on this but the 371s were made "off shore"???

Model 28 4 inch barreled revolvers were our issued piece when I started in '68. Police price for one back then was....$68. !!!!

Don't see that now.

Wayne

I always lusted after the Model 27 with the 5” barrel. I carried a 6” Model 28 when I was a rookie LEO back in the 70’s. I later switched to a 4” Model 28 as it was easier to carry.

When we switched to semi autos, I had my 4” Model 28 re-blued, added a target trigger, target hammer, a yellow front sight insert and had an action job done. I gave it to my dad and he still has it.

Mick
That model 28 is superb, beautiful, excellent and darn nice to boot.

Thanks guys! Had a 27- 8 3/8” years ago. Shot it at Steel silhouette for a few years, then never shot it again. Sold it for a lot more than I paid for it.

Thanks!

The work was done back in the 80's by Bob Chow. His shop was in San Francisco and he did some amazing work!

No, I didn’t know he was in any movies. That’s pretty interesting. I spent a lot of time (And money!) in his shop over the years:)
