I recently bought a 25-5 with sambar and love the look of the beautiful stag and I’d like to buy similar grips for my 1911 Colt Govt. Anyone have any suggestions where to find quality grips that you have first hand knowledge of that might fit the bill? I’m looking for natural not synthetic and it wouldn’t have to be sambar specifically if they’re not available. Thanks

There's an outfit in Wyoming that sells elk horn grips, smooth or with bark, and I bought some for my Colt and S&W, plus for my Bond Arms. Their website is on this thread I believe.

The sambar are expensive maybe the elk will do. I’ll give it some thought. Thanks for the leads guys.

Check out the pics I posted in picture test. These are what you are looking for but it has been quite a while since I got these and don't remember where. I do remember paying only 125.00 for them which was a steal.

Thanks Sidney, I’m in no hurry and I’ll stay on the hunt for a good deal like what you got.
