The limits and size restrictions have really been changed since I started fishing in the Florida Keys in the 80's,
I have to have an app on my iPhone to help with what applies to a fish when I catch one.
Really easy to violate a limit or size and their is no mercy from the enforcement.
Too many people fishing down there now.

Sea use to be littered with fish not kept floating like balloons
We would puncture their bladders with an ice pic not sure how that affected the fish I know I didn’t like it
Now that they have a new law requiring a descending device to return them to the depths
Just what we need more laws

I don't fish for snapper at a rig here, to many fish.
If you can't live with the first fish you get there then i don't fish the rig.
I find marker buoys are better for good size snappers at least here.
