Anybody here collect or use Busse Combat knives? They’re no Randall Made Knife but I’ve used a few and have some older ones that seem to be built like tanks. I have a straight handle battle mistress, natural Outlaw E series, Assault shaker, and a Lean mean street. I had a few others that I sold off a few years back. What do you have? Any fans of the blades on here?

Mell,
Busse knives are built very stout and are high quality.

I have known Jerry and his wife for years, they are fine folks.

Even their "cheaper models" are of very good quality. One heck of a guarantee.

Wayne,

I have one of the Swamp Rat knives too and you brought up the Busse Guarantee...... I have the Swamp Rat Rat Trap model liner lock folding knife. I used it one time to skin a buck as it was all I had on me at the time. I needed to get through the pelvic bone so...... I decided to see just how tough it was and used a mag light to break it through the pelvic bone. Not one single chip in the blade, still sharp enough to skin another buck. Only issue was the lock needed some adjustment. A quick trip back to Ohio and Mr. Busse had her cleaned, and adjusted and ready to roll for free! Great knife.

Eric that is a sweet blade! Always have enjoyed what Mr. Busse makes. I do have to admit.... when he started doing limited editions and stopped making the E series knives I kind of lost interest as they began to get a bit too pricey in my opinion. Nonetheless, they make a heck of a tough knife!

The Busse Booth at the BLADE Show was always a huge crowd getter.

The past two years, they did not go to BLADE and I think that is because of the new sort of policies in place there.

The knives are still selling quite well and Jerry even guaranteed a blade that had taken a bullet!!!

Their following at the The Blade Show was nothing short of phenomenal. You would always know when they were getting ready to do their drawings.. !!

I think that the Busse booth drew the biggest crowds. You could hear the cheers all over the show when drawings were held!!!

Since Jerry started making knives,Busse knives have been in every conflict/battle that we have been involved in.

Pretty impressive since they are comparatively new in regards to Randall,Ek,Ruana to name a few.

Yes very impressive for sure. Just after 9-11 Busse did a promotion where you could pay and send a knife to the troops. I think it was a natural outlaw that he was sending to them. You got a set of Busse dog tags if I’m not mistaken when you did it. I paid to send one over. Hope it went to good use!!!
