The last BMK build was about a year ago so I'm thinking it's time for another. And, I have it on good authority that the BMK folks are up for another build if we have enough interest on the forum. So, what's the mood of the Behring Made Maniacs? Another build or wait a while longer?

PS -- Just to let folks know up front, if we go forward with this build, I have disqualified myself from putting my name in the hat since I "won" the last two and would likely be strung up if I hit a trifecta.

I am wondering if there is enough interest for a build as the forum as a whole seems to almost be dying on the vine, seems that very few people are posting anymore. Hope I am wrong.

I'm not sure it's quite that bad but I see your point. A lot of options for folks here in terms of what gets built. And, if there's a concern about cost, we can keep it simple. Even a simple knife from BMK will be very nice and likely unique. Stay tuned.

I'll play if it's a raffle build, but if it's a "winner buys the knife" build, I'll have to sit this one out.

I prefer "winner buys the knife" for simplicity but Jim, if you'd like to regulate this we can make it a raffle style too- at the end of the day I need to collect what the knife is worth so how the means are put together doesn't bother me. I just do not have much extra time here these days....

In such a case we would need to pre consider a budget and participation. Up to you boys, I'm just here to make knives and see them go smile

I just got off of the phone with Grant and we believe that we can do a raffle-style build if we have enough folks and that is the consensus for how to handle it. It does look like the raffle route can be a good approach based on the Captain's latest builds so just shout out your preference and we will see how things shake out. Thanks folks.

I would be in for a BMK raffle build. For example if the head count is low, I could see going $60 for one number with 10 numbers total. Assuming $600 covers the knife we end up building.

Here are a couple of double edged leather stacked handled examples from WWII. Both do have 7" blades. The Case has a forward curved hilt.

I like the idea of a WW II fighter build with maybe a different twist of some kind along the lines maybe of the spacer thing Peter suggested or maybe some other type of add to make it a little out of the ordinary. A lot of possibilities with the BMK guys. They are almost as crazy as those Zombie Tool Fools. Something about that Missoula air maybe. :-)

Looking through the pictures of the WWII knives made by Behring in other threads, I am interested in the Alaskan model.
Of course, I collect RMK Model 11's, so that may have a "bearing" on my taste.
I would be interested in a Behring Build (I will get off the puns and alliteration)
A Hatchet and Alaskan combination would be very appealing, but that might be a discussion for the folks at Behring.

I'm thinking we will get enough folks and it looks like a WW II (but not a mega build) and a raffle format. I think maybe we wait another day or two to gather up the folks who want to participate and then get going with the details. For any who have not yet signed up, remember that the more folks we have the lower the $$ for each person to enter the raffle.

Having run my share of builds, it is good to know (from BMK's) perspective) if you are "In" or you are "Not", not predicated on a specific knife or style. "In" or "Out". That's a true head count:
Capt. Chris
PS: I'm "IN"...and, like my builds, ya'll know I don't care "what" we build,,,CCS

Woodcraft 5", leather stacked reminiscent of an old Marbles. Nickel hilt, stag pommel.

The original Marbles Woodcraft is over 100 years old and still going strong. If we decide on this blade for the build, a convex grind would be a classic look.
Here's an oldie to my earlier post.

Based on my count, we have 17 people signed up for the raffle-style build.. Per Grant, ballpark price for a WW II Alaskan 5.5" blade is $550. This is just an example for rough reference. That would work out to about $35 per raffle ticket.

I'm thinking that price is probably about right for a different blade style (such as a woodcraft) in the same size also but Grant can kick me I am wrong about that. Some colored spacers can be added without bumping the price much.

Looks to me like we might want to wait just a bit to hear from a few more folks about blade style and then set that part of it for a vote. Thanks.

Woodcraft works for me.
It's not a Blade shape we can get from RMK, where we can get an Alaskan or other hunting styles.

The combo would likely run the price up to the point of losing participants.

One way around that, run a "hybrid" where participants buy in raffle-style and the winner gets the prize for a heavily reduced price (minus the buy-in proceeds, basically).

I don't think the price for the combo would be much different than the 2 Randalls that we just raffled off. Grant could give some insight on that.

Okay, let's vote on blade shape and then, after that decision is made, we can poll to see if there's a consensus to add a matching hatchet. So, the vote is for an Alaskan-style blade or Woodcraft-style blade. The Alaskan pictured previously is 4.5" and the Woodcraft will be 5" or 5.5" unless there is a strong preference expressed for a different size. If size matters (which I have been told it does blush) we can do a vote on that after we pick blade style. With no further ado, LET"S VOTE:

A) Alaskan
B) Woodcraft

Thanks.

Glad we're back on discussing this build, rather than bitching about the forum picture-posting! Having built stuff before and knowing, especially from my last build, how price conscious folks can be, I believe a single knife build makes sense. I'm for "B". Here's one headed my way from The James' Gang! Size does matter (in this case, at least)!
Stay sharp, Capt. Chris

The addition of a hatchet would be adding at least $645, but this is up to you fellas.

My suggestion is we keep it simple and roll with momentum as it is- which thus far appears to be a Woodcraft.

I count 5 votes for A and 10 for B. Not enough votes left for A to catch up so I'm calling it for B, Woodcraft.

Next I suppose is carbon or stainless? Also, we will need to deal with the blade "treatment" like hammer mark, bluing, etc.

Thoughts, opinions, better ideas?

Stainless steel might not grow in Big Sky Country.... so this would most likely be a carbon build.

I'm always in for Hammer marks

FYI, Grant says that stainless is available but it will increase the cost. If anyone feels strongly about getting stainless, please chime in otherwise we will go with carbon and move this along.

Jim,
Welcome to the world of "Builds"! It will be difficult to chose blade "treatments" at early onset. For example: "I" would like blued, carbon steel with a W.W.II styled handle, with a blued butt cap and pinned. If we don't chose blued, I would not want the WWII...Ya' follow?
Mentioning "future" things always open up the can...I think carbon will rule the vote, most likely..."BUT"...discussion may help move this build in "God-only-knows" what direction...but it's needed.
Just my thoughts,
Capt. Chris

Thanks for the advice Chris. My understanding is that this was intended from the get-go to be a WW II build so I believe the WW II leather handle is a decision already made. As far is the bluing is concerned, my guess is that this sentiment will prevail. But .. no disrespect intended .... if the majority doesn't want bluing then I believe the majority prevails. If that means you are no longer wanting in on the raffle then that's understandable. I know there have been times that I did not ultimately put my name in the hat when a build took a turn I didn't care for. Not often but a couple of times. But, hey, I'm just the cat-herder here. Whatever the cats want to do is fine by me.

Based on early responses it seemed to me that this was the direction folks wanted to go. It looks though like we don't have a unanimous view on that so we can put it up for a vote after we get the blade in final form. Sorry, my bad.

It wasn't really decided, so much as strongly requested we go in that direction. Which is really more picking a knife out of the Catalog than actually building 1...
I think Jim is steering us true.
Blade shape then go from there!

One thing I like about builds is photos of examples. I robbed these from BMK's archives for the sole reason of showing 3 examples of 3 blade finishes.
Jim: It "looks" as though the Woodcraft is leading the voting by a handsome margin. For that reason "only" I chose 3 Woodcraft models for this comparison. I'm slammed all weekend but thought a visual would aid builders.
I know Warren does not prefer the "all-blued" blade. That's fine and, as I have said many many times, I don't care what we build and Jim will lead us down the path. I love all "3"!
Hope this helps, Capt. Chris

Please also clarify whether it should be a hammermarked hollow grind or smooth convex grind, fellas!

The blued finish can be done on either. For what it's worth, I'm almost positive that we have not yet done a Woodcraft with a convex grind and a blued finish. If it's been done, it's in the single digits. I can't find one in my archive or email references either.

Grant

Been lobbying for a convex grind since this started. Let it go for now and see what happens.

Grant -- I was thinking the hammer mark would be next. Honestly, I had not thought about the grind but we can do that after the hammer mark vote? Straighten me out here if needed. Thanks.

Jim,

After blue/no-blue, next is convex or hollow grind.
BTW, we still have not decided on a theme for this knife.
I'm confused with this build. The theme usually dictates the build. All these details are important so what's the end game?
Might make my choices matter.

I had thought the theme was WW II but there was push back on that. So, now the theme is whatever the majority wants.

Close vote on the blue/no blue. I count 8 for blue and 7 for no blue. So, the blues have it. Next is a convex or hollow grind.

A -- convex
B -- hollow

I'm going to jump in a bit here to assist in flow. "Ideas" for handles have been suggested but this has not been voted nor decided on so that part of the conversation seems to confuse and should be left alone for now.

We have clearly set a Woodcraft to be the blade choice so now are currently voting on two things:

-Blued or Nah

-Convex (smooth) or hollow grind (with hammermarks).

The next thing to be voted on should be blade size.

Once we get that "honed" in, we can discuss what should be done with the handle. In the past, guard style came next (tall, standard, S guard, half S, etc). Handle details will then follow. Keep in mind WWII handles get blued steel guards, in which USUALLY (but not always) are paired with blued blades.

Designing knives isn't quite as simple as it seems now is it? smile

No reason for any frustrations to come of this my friends. Like James told me when we first met in 2012: "KNIVES ARE FUN!"

The tally from Tally (James got it) is 11 for convex and 3 for hollow. That's not 100% voter turn out but enough to call it. So, it's going to be a blued convex blade.

Per our knife sensei Grant, next choice is blade length. Initially, it seemed like folks were cool with a mid-length blade of 5" give or take but I have learned my lesson here not to make assumptions so let's lay out some options and we can then tee it up for a vote. Thanks.

By my count, we have 2 votes for A, 7 votes for B, 6 votes for C and 0 votes for D at this point. That is 15 votes cast out of a total of 18 participants. The remaining 3 votes can determine the outcome so let's leave it open until the end of the day or until enough additional votes come in to determine the outcome. Thanks.

PS -- New participants are still welcome to join at this point if anyone is interested.

A quick reference of costs for those of you navigating economically:

Blade sizes with a stag, micarta, buffalo, or walnut handle:
3.5" = $345
4.5" = $395
5.5" = $445

If we went with any of these options, and blue the blade, add $30.

A WWII handle adds $100 to any knife, and this treatment includes the bluing price too as the steel guard and butt must have this done.

I am not referencing handles to confuse anyone as we ARE NOT voting on those yet, but just want to make sure I can lend as much clarity as possible here as it sounds like price per entry does matter

I like where we are going here folks!

Okay, looks like C(5" - 5.5") B (4" - 4.5") wins it by a nose. Per Grant, the next vote will be for the guard material and shape.

I would like to see (just-cause it's what I like, RMK doesn't do much of it--or none) and they are well liked:

Lets not get ahead of ourselves- confirm blade details before we move on please. I'd give it another day and do a re-count to confirm we're up to speed.

Greetings all.

Is it too late to join this build? I'd be good with either a raffle or a winner-buy format.

I've been off-line for a long while caring for my wife after she had major reconstructive ankle/foot surgery (screws; Tommy John-like tendon transplant from calf; and more) following a nasty fall. She's somewhat mobile (still in a walking boot with crutches and scooter) with PT to follow, but more independent since the cast came off on Monday, and I finally have a bit of free time.

If I've read this right, this build is a for a BMK Woodcraft model knife with:
-a blued blade finish;
-a convex grind;

and the current vote is to determine the blade length. No votes have been held yet for guard/hilt, handle material/style, other options or sheath.

I believe that Jim's blade length vote count is accurate with "B" (4.5") holding a narrow (8-6) lead over "C" (5.5").

If the build is still "open", can I join and cast a vote for "C" (5.5")? If too late, let me know, as that's OK too. Still fun (and educational) to watch.

Bob

P.S.#1: Jim, thanks for running this build.

P.S.#2: Love the photo of the BMK ebony & ivory handled knife earlier on the thread.

Grant said on 10/31 give it another day and recount on Blade length before moving on. If B is ahead...then B is what we should go with.

Discovered through this process that I am too damn ignorant to do it correctly. Best to wait for the folks who know what they are doing. Lesson learned. Grant will get us going here shortly.

Good morning fellas- pardon the silence. I had to step out for an extended weekend over family matters but I'm back in the saddle and ready to save the day.

Looks like we have set ourselves voted on a 5.5" Woodcraft, convex and blued.

Moving to guards, I don't think it wise to get too crazy on this one. S-guards and things of that nature make more sense on a big knife, but at the size we have ahead I'd go simpler. If we're looking for unique, we make very very few flat top standard guards and if I were voting I would push hard for this.

Style:
A Standard (round top)
B flat top standard
C tall
D s-guard (if you want it you can have it, but you know where my thoughts stand on this one)
E write in

Material:
A blued steel (best paired with a blued blade, but not necessary)
B copper
C brass
D nickel silver

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong but, based on the votes, I think it would actually be a 4-4.5" woodcraft, convex, blued.

Moving forward to gaurds I vote Style B and Material A.

Grant - I apologize. I think someone made this same mistake the other day (“b” for blued). I had voted B for the material, but meant to vote A. So:

B
A

Again. sorry.

While were having fun, not the best build ever. Prior builds had many donated materials to upgrade sheaths and zippered cases. Not likely to happen again.

Maybe somebody will donate some handle material or sheath material since you mentioned it and we haven't decided on those options yet.

Let's keep this light fellas- the process can be confusing but that's why I am here.

If anyone has handle material they would like to donate feel free to make mention of that now. I am thinking Saturday will be an appropriate close on the guard votes, for the sake of keeping this moving. I'd like to have the handle material and style voted on by Friday 11-15 with sheath vote to follow immediately.

I don't have much of anything to donate but I did buy some beaver from Mike that I am willing to donate for the sheath if that would help.

So, looks like flat top is a done deal -- no way that lead can be beat. On the material, blued is likely to get the call but copper is still possible I suppose. I'm thinking Grant is out in the woods chasing Sasquatch for the weekend so we probably won't hear from him before Monday.

I'm going to drop the hammer on this one and call the vote to a close. We're now looking at a 4.5" convex blued woodcraft with a flat top guard.

Next up we're doing to begin the handle phase. Some ideas have been suggested but for simplicity and not having to read back over we will begin that conversation below.

The options are endless at this point, from WWII leather stacks (which we can include some unique colors for a true one-off), stag, walrus, micartas, etc. I would encourage you to take a browse through the Archives https://www.behringmade.com/collections/all-archives) if you are struggling with ideas of your own. We'll put it to a vote once there are a few agreeable options thrown out.

GO!!

Old school leather/ stag. Perhaps a crotched stag butt would be different.

I like the "half and half" (Scagel style?) handles, stacked parts near the hilt and a hunk of horn/antler/tooth pinned on the butt half.

This is what I like. Stacked leather and Carver stag. It's similar to what Warren suggested, except its Carver stag instead of crotch. Both look great, but my preferene is like this picture.

N-D,

That is a nice handle too. I had one similar to yours, I gave it to one of my old hockey players for a graduation from University present.

This is shaping up to be a very nice build, eh.

I pulled this picture from the archives. Not my knife. I agree it is a pretty good looking build so far.

I have been unable to vote due to...well....TULSA! I vote as follows:
1st choice: W.W.II style
2nd choice: Leather stag / "not" crotch.
Thanks, Capt. Chris

Well the Captain doesn't like crotch stag? Maybe this will change his mind.

That looks like crown-Butt to me Warren; not crotch. I'm not a crotch fan either BUT would like stag/leather combo......and the stag could sure be crown-Butt.

Duke,

Was offering up another choice.
Surely this is old school Scagel leather with a crown stag butt.

Warren,
I've owned several crotch stag handled knives, by
both" Behrings and they show no utilitarian use to me, being uncomfortable and downright cumbersome when "actual" putting them to use.
Just me, Capt. Chris
PS: Crown works much better but can "still" impede operations at times. Crown or standard stag will work for me...but W.W.II I'll still stick with as my 1st choice.

But Capt. .... you're the ONLY 1 actually using these knives.... crazy

I'd vote WWII as well, and as Grant mentioned adding in distinctive spacers to make this 1 stand out from the rest.

I've been a lurker up to now.

The build is interesting, all the options being mentioned are neat...just a matter of getting a majority vote to single things out.

About the spacers, considering there are a few sports fans on the forum, what about spacers honoring the World Series champions?

Not that I am a fan of any particular team, just thinking that something might be done to along a line set this build apart.

This website describes their colors: https://teamcolorcodes.com/washington-nationals-color-codes/

Or maybe some other theme that folks might have in mind.

Uhhhh, I was just kinda joshing ya a little Warren as I figured you knew crown butt from crotch. It's just not that often I get to comment anywhere using "crotch" & "butt" in the same sentence. And it takes very little to humor me anymore.
BUTT, I wasn't joshing about not caring for crotch; neither attractive nor comfortable in hand.
AND that's no joke.

Of course, one bad thing about crotch is that it's very likely to get scratched.

(There's a very little bit of humor for you Duke.) wink

I say we should vote for WWII leather or stag and leather. Then if stag wins we can decide what kind of stag.

I've seen enough to roll a vote here, and agree with the Nate's suggestion with regard to the actual stag type, should that be the voted option. There will be a similar follow up vote should WWII be chosen for unique mods.

HANDLE VOTES:
A. WWII
B. SCAGEL STYLE (horsehide + stag)
C. STAG CARVER (full handle of stag)
D. WALRUS

Sambar stag. It offers more color and density than native American deer including elk.

Ruana has been using elk horn for 60 years and although it isn't as pretty as India Sambar, native elk horn would be different, that's all I'm saying. Have no problem with Sambar stag.

Sorry for the delay in the count. My bad. Looks like it is 5 votes for WW II and 10 votes for Scagel style. So, Scagel it is. Stag type is the next vote I believe but our fearless leader Grant will gives us direction here soon. Getting close to the summit here folks!

A piece of BMK's "premium" stag...No crown or crotch would be my preference.

A.

After all, it is a small blade, and crown or crotch might overwhelm it.

And if it is to be a user, any oversize butt might be uncomfortable.

There have been 12 votes cast so far in this round -- 10 for A (standard stag) and 5 for B (crown stag). At one point, we had 18 folks participating but I think 1 or 2 have dropped off. So, it's likely to end up being "A" but there may still be an outside chance that "B" could sneak in there and pull off an upset.

Roger that Jim!

I admit that I am only just seeing the suggestion for elk... I did not intentionally ignore or disregard. Elk is indeed an option if we want it to be so. True that we don't hardly ever use it because the sambar is a more desirable texture and figure, but there is no doubt the value in utilizing a native species- anddd could be done still as option A.

Quickly, elk- Yay or Nay

If we wanna tie a story into this knife, we can use a tip of elk from one of James' shed collection. He has been curing a selection that he's found on his property over the last few years, (along with whitey and muley sheds) and just told me the other day he plans to cut 'em all up.

Just a thought. Let's go ahead and leave the elk alone- sambar will look better.

We've pretty much got a dialed in knife here boys, save for the sheath. Let's sound off on ideas for leather and after the weekend we'll assess trends and bring it to a vote. Should have this one just about done here soon.

At the 4.5" blade, keep in mind that a simple pouch sheath is an option, matches the stained horsehide beautifully, is a good bit cheaper AND eliminates the four week (or more) waiting period from any of the makers (depending on who).

Amy has an incredible utilitarial design whereas the sheath can be worn:
* Left or right handed (on a belt) upright
.................OR....................
* Left or right handed crossdraw (or straight sideways to be more correct...and it's "pouch-style so no snaps to mess with! I'd vote for that and if we don't vote for that...and I'm the lucky numberer, I'm getting her to make me one anyhoo!
Just sayin', Capt. Chris

I think a floral carved pouch sheath that matches the horse hide would be nice.

Capt. Chris speaks for me...that arrangement sounds like maybe the most versatile you could ask for.

I have had some Kydex sheaths done for that very reason. But no Kydex here please!

Keep it simple for me. If I'm lucky enough, it's going to Mudbone for a no loop pouch sheath with some wicked cool artwork.

One of Amy's unilateral designs, as described by Capt. Chris, sounds perfect.

I, just now, have had a chance to shoot a couple of pics of my preference for this build's sheath choice. Anything Amy makes is top-shelf but this dual-purpose is the bees knees for me!
I am right-handed and had Amy make mine with black basket-weave on the outside for RH (Right hip) carry or RH (Cross draw) carry. When I am sitting on stand the horizontal RH carry method does not impede me from any activity and doesn't "ride-up" and pinch the Captain's way-cool "Love Handles"! (If you know what I mean?)
Ordered in smooth leather would show no preference as to which side the Woodcraft is carried. This is just "my" taste folks. Your mileage may vary!
(Shown with a 4 1/2" Woodcraft (early) BMK.)
Stay sharp, Capt. Chris

Capt. Chris...

If I understand it, this sheath allows you to run the belt long-way down the sheath inside the loop, so it can be worn horizontally.

A simple solution...who would'a thunk it took this long for somebody to figure out?

Very versatile but still not for me. I don't like belt anything when hunting.
"Pack it" is better IMO.
And why? Weather changes frequently here like in other areas.
Trying to keep a single belt rig is impossible. Some days are warm and others cold.
We're changing out alot.

We're all so fortunate in this country to be blessed with an amazing, almost overwhelming amount of options/choices in almost everything we do. There's now an increasing number of very skilled sheath makers who are capable of making not only a wonderfully functional sheath but will also turn it into an incredible work of art; that can also be attached & carried almost anywhere we choose. I also can & do carry several important things in my daypack (small hatchet, skinner, etc.).
I've personally chosen (for over 40 years now) to have an accessible sheath knife on my person whenever I've gone out my front door, and especially so when planning to engage in hunting, fishing, hiking and any outdoor activity. Learned long ago that an easily & quickly accessible knife can save one's life.
So, this is one (or more) sheath opinion. We do currently, however, have only one James Behring, Jr. Build to complete as a group.
Let's get 'er done!

Vote for sheath style first, and we'll follow up with a tooling ETC vote. This one will go to Amy, especially if anyone is planning to use this knife before next year wink

A. POUCH SHEATH
B. STRAP OVER GUARD LOW RIDE (THINK SULLIVAN)
C. CAPTAINS CONCEPT
D. SLEEVE POUCH, NO BELT LOOP

TOOLING / EMBELLISHMENTS

1. NO TOOLING
2. SHARP-STONE POUCH (ALSO NO TOOLING, NOT GOING TO WORK WITH OPTION C.)
3. BORDER TOOLING
4. BASKETWEAVE
5. FLORAL

...Just cause, truly ambidextrous and saves $$ on basket for both sides....Oh...Chitter-Chatter Warren? Appeared to be more of a discussion regarding sheath styles...and why from my perspective.

Alright boys, sounds like Captain's concept with a border tooling is the winner!

The build has come to a close and the official result is as follows:

-4.5" Woodcraft
-Convex
-Blued finished
-Blued steel guard, flat top profile
-Scagel style horsehide & stag
**stag to be ground as little as possible
-Captain's vert/hor sheath, border tooled

There have been some dropouts, so now would be an appropriate time for a final headcount. If you want in on a raffle ticket please say so. I've finalized the price of the custom sheath with Amy, and the final cost is going to be $545 shipped.

I will be able to dictate cost per entry once I confirm participants. I don't care if you have voted or not, if you want in just jump in. Once I know cost per entry I will begin taking payments on entries and once paid in full we will queue for the forge.

Well you threw in the idea to this discussion, so for the time being it's "yours"!

I think it safe to say this concept has been around long before Warlander anyway... Moving on!

And don't think you've got to worry Cap as I have at least 2 (or 3?) sheathes, very similar, though not exactly the same, in carry capabilities. I've owned and used them for many years.

Captain I'll start collecting for tickets as soon as I have a head count- I need the final number to properly divide up the due total.

We've got 13 participants thus far, so I think we are waiting on at least a few more voices here. Will check in tomorrow morning and see if we're safe to close as I do not want anyone to be left out.

And thirteen it shall be fellas!

This means cost per entry on this one is $41.92 If you are a paypal user, I would appreciate if we can keep this simple and you send us the funds rather than running through that many monetary requests. The email associated to the account is behringmadeknives@gmail.com.

If you want to call in a credit card that works for me too 406-926-1193. The blade has begun it's way through the works and should be ready to go and at your door no later than Christmas Eve. I will draw the winner as soon as I have collected on all tickets so if you want this to move fast then be fast!

Alright fellas, funds have all been received!

I'd like to thank each of your for your participation and I'm excited to see this knife done- as it needs a custom sheath our deadline to get it to Amy AND have it back in time for a Christmas Eve delivery means that this knife itself will be done TOMORROW! I will do my absolute best to get photos of it prior to the sheath but can't make any promises as this place is set to be a circus.

With that said and out of the way I've executed the randomized drawing and this build's lucky new winner is......

DUKE TURMAN!!!

Congratulations amigo, I'll be in touch with shipping details as soon as possible. Thanks to all who participated.

My pics are never the best BUT, we'll see how they do. Great looking knife AND sheath!
The thing is how really stout this knife feels in hand. Sheath fit is outstanding. I feel that the way a knife feels is such a personal thing BUT the size and smoothness of this handle is incredible......just fits my hand size great. I plan to and do sincerely hope that I am blessed to get to put it to use in the great outdoors.
Time for another Build?
