I thought this might be amusing to you guys.

I had a Model 1-7 sent off and had it rehandled in the style of one that might have been during during WW2 in theater. I was also intrigued by the plexi that was often used from shot down enemy aircraft.

I also had the scabbard made to one similar to those made during the War. I copied the painting of it from one in the DDay Museum in Normandy. It belonged to one of the 101st A/B paratrooper pathfinders that were sent in early to set up the drop zones. They were made famous by shaving their heads into mohawks and wearing Indian war paint before they got on their aircraft.

It was a fun project.

The guy that did the work was Michael Wall...I think he was out of Florida. I will have to dig out his contact info. Super talented guy and worked with me on each step from my vision.

The sheath was done by a local maker friend that copied a few period pieces online.

I thought it turned out quite good.

There's Greg Wall from Tennessee that does Randall copies, and does a good job.
