I got this knife in 2002. I thought it would be interesting to post it.

Steve,

Could you please post a close- up of that blade? It's awesome.

Warren, it says on the box that there were only 600 made but I've heard there my have only been 150 made. Here's the best picture I have right now. I'll try and take a better one later.

I once had Kevin Mount (now deceased), a local Scrimmer, do 2 knives for me, both on Westinghouse Ivorite: 1 was a #4-5" with a rendering, on what was supposed to be parchamnt paper of the preamble to the constitution. The second knife was a Model #1-7" with Hueys flying over the Mekong Delta. This reminds me of that artwork.
Nice, Capt. Chris

As far as I know it was all etched. I bought it on a whim and have not been able to find any information on it.

I decided to send an email to Puma this afternoon. Here is the response I got:

It’s very neat pcs of Puma History

Knife is featuring the limited Number on Blade as well the Rockwell Test Sticker
one of the most wonderful knifes ever made by Puma - especially because this model was only made and released for US Market
Dedicated to the Vietnam Veterans as Commemorative shows this knife an deep etched War-Scene on Vietnam Raid by Huey UH Helicopter Assault ( 1 Air Cav)
Rumor has it that only 150 pcs were made

Are you looking to sell the knife?

Thanks,

For sure. I have a White Hunter, but just an older one, nothing special.

Thanks. Many, many years ago stumbled across it and another older, stag, "regular" White Hunter at Smokey Mountain Knives in Pigeon Forge. My wife dropped me off while she and her girlfriends shopped. The store had none on display but I asked a clerk about 'em as we talked and he left to "hunt", returned with the two in pretty beat up original boxes. Both came home with me. He had never seen another in the store and I haven't, before or since. I love the stores where people enjoy their business and take the time to talk.
