Not saying if I would be in or not "But" this year was the 50th of our landing on the moon. A model 17 would be very a befitting tribute and a model not done before to my recollection. This is a knife that I'm not sure has enough depth for options.

Hmmmmmm Well hunting season is right around the corner. Maybe a 8-4 bird and trout but with some different options? Maybe white ivorite handle with black spacers and nickel silver hilt? Tool steel blade old school grind and black sheath?

The nicest Model 8-4 I had was SS,NS squared, Stag(no charge), 21 Crow's beak, Wrist thong. Still have it. I like the top sharpened for cutting off fish heads. I used one all summer as a fishing guide and loved it. It was just a standard 8-4.

If we did a model 17 like Warren suggested, could we do customer supplied scales on it? Some NASA g-3 would be a nice tribute.

OK...before we go any farther on down the line...There are "no options" to be had on a Model #17..."except" sheath choice and etching...period! So...if you do, indeed, believe that we really did put a man on the moon, we could always do a raffle for one at a later date...but a "build"? There's nothing to "build" for a build...just sayin'.
Ideas in line with hunting season sounds cool,,,or Thanksgiving,,,or Christmas...Etc. Etc...Keep 'em coming.
Best, Capt. Chris

Capt, question for you... if we were to do a carving set would the options count as 1 or 3 since there are 3 pieces? Just checking but it may be an option for us to consider.
