Coach,
That is the way I do it. They go one way,I go the other way...…………..quickly!!!

I have heard that the rattlers are not the most aggressive as illustrated by the above posts but it seem that the cotton mouths/water moccassins and copperheads seem to be aggressive.

That is why the Bond Arms Derringers are just right for the job.

Aren't your wives afraid of the snakes? Mine would be terrified and the same applies for big spiders. I guess, to answer my own question, your wives are used to snakes.

My wife is TERRIFIED of snakes, black widow spiders, And alligators, And hogs, And scorpions, And all of the other dangerous critters that live out here in the woods with us.

But,,,She loves the deer, quail, squirrels, foxes, Coons, rabbits, Bald Eagles, Hoot Owls, hummingbirds, pileated woodpeckers, bullfrogs, soft shell turtles, whooperwills, Redbirds, bluebirds, etc. that live out here with us also.

Coach,

I could have put my name on your post and covered it to a tee. Wife not a fan either.
I'm not exactly an insect fan since I get severe reactions from the wasp/bee family and mosquitoes. It's tough to run from a stinger. Gators, I respect their habitat and stay away.
Haven't seen a snake "yet" this season at home.

Bond Arms has those 50% off barrel sales from time to time.

You have a way with words Coach!
I am not ashamed to say it but I am not a big fan of spiders also...

My uncle got bit by a Brown recluse on the ankle and it was 7 months getting over it. He had a hole in his ankle for months, just wouldn't heal. Glad we don't have them here in Idaho, only hobo's and black widows.
