In Feb. I went into my local Gun Shop to buy the Glock 19x. But I accidentally ventured over to the Sig display and found a P365. After comparing them I fell for the P365. Unfortunately, there were a couple of issues with the P365 which stopped me from ordering one that day. Sig has stated they corrected the spring issue with the P365's issued after July 2018. So I bought one. Mine was shipped Aug. 18 2018. I have fired 500 rounds of varying 9mm ammo to include 100 rounds of +P 9mm. There has been no sign of magazine gauging from the trigger bar spring. So it looks like SIG shortened the trigger bar spring to fix that issue. The other issue is the Striker drag on the primer. That is still prevalent on my P365. Just in case of firing pin breakage, I have tracked down a steel striker replacement from LSPI part # LS7365. I love these SIG's.
As pictured:
10mm Legion P220
.45 acp P320 Compact
9mm P365 Micro

Eric,
Nice line up you have there!! Nothing wrong with SIGs.

If you have the firing pin drag problem, why don't you call SIG,have them send you a shipping label so you can send the piece back to them to get fixed??

Their turn around time is super fast.

Thank You, Wayne

I believe all striker fire compact models have this problem. The Glock 43 and M&P also have the same striker drag on the primer. I believe this issue will always be prevalent in Striker fire Compact handguns with 9mm ammo because of the recoil speed with the slide bar. Sig will only replace the firing pin if it breaks.
My new Steel pin should never fail.

Haven't had that issue on my Glock 43, but I did change the trigger. It will shoot almost with my Glock 19.

Hello, Pap

You got a good one Pap. My Brother Doug's Glock 43 9mm left this drag mark on the primer. I have not heard of a Glock 43 breaking a firing pin. But some of them do leave a drag mark.

I just checked some fired cases from my Glock Model 43,no drag marks with either factory or my reloads.

So I guess that this may be a sometime thing??

Wayne, you and Pap are blessed and highly favored. My brother Doug has put maybe 4000 rounds through his G43. He teaches a CCW class in Flint and owns his own firing range. The striker drag on the casing I showed was from our latest outing. You can do research via Google on striker drag on compact 9mm and I think the PPK is the only one not displaying it. I do love the feel of the P365, so it won a spot by my side.

The Glock Store in California has replacement strikers, and they had a sale on their titanium ones for my 19 and 20, but didn't think I needed one for my 43.

Based on what Eric is outlining, I think it's more of a good idea than a "need"... certainly could not hurt.

My view on this is,if it ain't broke don't fix it.

If there are drag marks but everything functions OK,then I don't see any problem.

In my humble opinion,if there are serious problems, the factory will do a recall and fix it under warranty.

Reminds me of when guys would do all sorts of add ons and accessories to their car. The last thing they put on it is a "for sale" sign.

Wayne, 100 percent right. I will only use the replacement if SIG's stock striker tip snaps. I just bought some 12 round 9mm mags and plan to fire it again today.

Eric,
The magazines, are they SIG factory or aftermarket???

If they are aftermarket, test them thoroughly to make certain that they are reliable.

Let us know how the range session went.

Wayne,

Yes, I ordered them from SIG.

I ended up shooting 600 rounds, thank goodness for a pistol mag loader, I use UpLULA (made in Isreal).

Ergonomics of the grip is perfect for my hand. Even after all those rounds. (I live in the Country so my front yard is a legal firing range.)

My P365 was shooting about 3 inches low with the normal front sight which is a #6 so I swapped it out with a #8 front sight, (Love the Wheeler sight tool).

Every primer we checked had some level of striker drag, but no jams or misfires.

I like having a 13 round 9mm that fits in the palm of my hand.

13 round 9mm Hi-Power (1958)
13 round 9mm+P Sig Sauer (2018)

What a difference 60 years makes

P.S. The Colt 1911 and Belguim Browning Hi-Power will always be my Randalls of Pistols.

Eric,
Glad that the range session went well. If there are some drag marks, and everything functions OK,there are no worries.

The Hi Power is a classic, and,in my opinion, still very good.

In my state, anything over a ten round mag is "verboten" and I think they are trying to lower that to one round...………

Hopefully, I can get out today.

Hey all you Glock lovers:

Check out my cousin, Matt Blalock’s website:

http://5bgunworx.com/

He does some amazing things with Glocks!

He stays behind but it is worth the wait.

Eric,
At first glance,I thought that the knife was a model 10 of sorts.

Nice customization!!

Let us know how the new gun does on a range session.

The Dive Shop called me yesterday and my Carbon Fiber SCBA tank and Air Force Airgun Condor buttstock air tank had been hydro-tested and inspected,so next week I will be testing it out with the new Talon Tunes suppressor.

From a rest,at 50 yards,I can put all shots into a dime.

Wayne, I finally took my used 19x out to the range this weekend. I really enjoyed shooting this 19x. Zero flaws with over 300 rounds fired using Remington 115 grain training ammo. It was as accurate as I can be. The slide got really hot, but rapid firing 20 rounds at a clip tend to do that. Looking for a quality holster now.

Eric,
I would expect nothing less than perfection for a GLOCK!!!

Nice looking Chris Reeve knife there too!!!

I have yet to see a GLOCK not function perfectly right from the box.

My P226 with my Randall Combat Companion. (I did a bunch of gun/ knife match-up photos a while back. Can't find most of the pics now).

Shot the heck out of that pistol. Great one. Even carried it for a while, but it's just too heavy for anything like daily carry for me, anymore. Gave it to my brother just last month. Well, we traded...

Not sure if anyone else on the Forum has also recently purchased one of the Beretta 81 Cheetahs in .32 acp (12+1) from the multiple dealers selling these Italian made LE trade ins. I just received my $200 field grade used example. Nicer condition then I thought it would be, glad I didn't spend the extra $20 for a handpicked example.
