Just look at the contributors in the Picture Gallery's "How To Improve Your Knife Photos". Your layout can be as simple as Steve's using a small point and shoot camera (or cell phone), or a little more elaborate like Mitchell Harrison; and everything in between like Tony's outdoor shooting on overcast days.
