From David Warther, I would expect ivory or narwhal.

nah, just wood like an old school clothes pin.

Actually not a clothes pin, but plyers. Clothes pins have a spring, the picture shows a pair of plyers. They still make them for sale. I've been to their shop. If in the Dover, Ohio area, definitely worth going there.

Actually I went back to view the other vids. The first one the workmanship was a bit shoddy.

I agree that it wasn't anywhere near as nice as David Warther's, but the thought behind the cuts were what impressed me.
I remember decades ago in Engineering Drafting we would design the diagrams for the mechanics of cranes and structures. Some were hard to visualize much less draw.
(Now that sentence sounds like an old timer....back in the day...)

Lol, I remember the days of the drafting board. Sort of dates us aging dinasourrs.

How about slide rules , T-squares and real lead drafting pencils!!!!!!
