I’m jealous!!!

It has gone to 107 on my thermometer.

When I came in, I took a cold shower and just finished off a half gallon of ice tea.

Still thirsty.

PS. It never got below 80 last night.

When I was at Louisiana Tech in the mid 1960's, no AC in my Land Rover. I took the windows off the 2 front doors and that was it. Hot and humid and tough on dates, but made it through until 1968 when I bought my first 4X4 pickup, still no AC. Got my 1st pickup with AC in 1975.

We moved to Tucson in 1975, No A/C at home. 95 at night, no breezes. Dry heat....just like the inside of an oven.

Even when it does rain in Arizona, it's a dry rain. We lived in Marana just North of Tucson for over a year. Enjoyed our time there, but not without AC.

Well, we were ALL a lot younger in those days and could handle the heat a lot better. (or at least I could)

I remember saying once that I would rather for it to be 100 than 40. No more!!!

I worked construction all Summer every Summer during High School and College and reported for 2 a days after that.

Growing up, we had an attic fan but no AC. I didn’t live in AC until 1984 and my ‘88 F150 4x4 was my first vehicle with AC.

I remember summers & milking 100 Holsteins x2 daily, and growing everything it took to feed them year round. Milking was hot but not nearly as hot as the 6000 bale hay loft....in the afternoon....in July. It's big enough that we still have 2 basketball goals installed & many, many games played in it after hay fed out. I learned early to ALWAYS volunteer to learn any/everything that involved driving a tractor. Worked earlier & later many days but anything beat stacking hay in that loft under the tin roof. Still no ac in the farmhouse and not sure how my brothers & I survived Summer's together in the "boy's room." Box fans helped a little, I guess.
And yeah, heat must not have been quite as hot "back then."
