That last pic is with three coats of tung oil mixed 50:50 with mineral spirits, at least a week between coating runs. The wood isn't really taking it in, so must be a particularly hard piece. (better for me!)

I'll keep working on it, of course.

If you will bring it down here to Texas and set it out in this 100 degree heat, it will take it.

I paint my BBQ smoker with used fish grease every Summer in order to keep it from rusting and it will dry in a couple of days in this heat.
