Warren,

LOL-I think you are right, that knife is way too old for the Chief to keep. I think that he should give that to me in trade for a nice new Model 19!

Chief,

Tommy Bish liked the Model 19. Interesting dude, if you read up on him. He was Technical Editor of Gun World Magazine. Did a few articles on Randall Kit Knives.

Chief,

What year is written on the back of the sheath? It is difficult to make out from the pic.

'67 I'm liking the ivory and the slab side like design of this one......considering getting it cleaned up & using it.

Chief,

It is a beauty; don't wear it out! He was busy in 1967.

Mitchell through a good friend I was able to get the two original Gun World magazines November & December 1967. The articles on Randall Kit Knives were in 2 parts over two months. Thanks for the link.

When Kits were available some of the best emerged-Tom Leschorn, Tommy Bish, Eddie Layton, Gail White and others.

All the best!

Interesting that both are 1967, hilt and spacer stack look shop done on Chief's knife whereas on Tom's clearly different. In fact, the hilt on that knife looks somewhat old school Scagel or what you see on many BMK and Treemans.

Just feels great in your hand.....the guy knew what he was about.
Like Tom said some great work was done on the kits back in the day.
Tom Leschorn, Tommy Bish, 2 totally different styles & from 2 guys from different walks of life. Well said Tom, "some of the best"!

Tom I like the stag on yours a lot! I like the butt designs on his knives.
