I came across this auction and I wanted to see if anyone could hazard a guess about this knife.

Mystery model

It is as stated a non-catalog GTR model named for Gary T Randall. Its readliy available to order from Randall or thru one of their dealers. If you go on line to the Randall web site look under non-catalog knives.
I'm guessing but it has been available for about 12 years - perhaps much longer. Someone will chime in here with better info.

I thought so too but it is 0-1 and the blade shape is a little different.

This is actually a early Denmark Special from Denmark Sporting goods, a dealer from the 70's - early 80's...as identified by the trademark red and white spacer combination...

You can just make out the D S stamp at the bottom of the belt loop...

Scott, I downloaded the picture and I can't see the DS on the bottom of the belt loop. I am sure you are right on, could you post a photo of the DS. OR am I just blind. cry

I made the mistake of thinking that he 'knew' what it was but had never heard of the model - silly me!! smirk
I can't see the DS make either - time for new glasses I guess.

I am sure Scott is correct. I am not very good with the photo's and very limited in the computer photo area.
If he said it is there, I bet it is there. With all that is on the folks in Fla. plates I should have just let it go.
God Bless the folks in Fla. and I pray they all are doing well and a speedy recovery from the storms.

Take Care All

I didn't know that early Denmarks had a shorter blade. Any idea Scott what years the shorter ones were made? Thanks

Denmark Sporting Goods had several "variants", prior to the one we know today. This was just one of those.
Hope this helps, Capt. Chris
