Hello everyone! I am new to the Randall knife forums and am enjoying reading all of your posts!
As I am new one question has been in my mind for some time now. Are Randall Knives really up to the task of every day carry (edc)? I have owned 5 of Randall's knives for some time now ( 2 of the Randall model 1-5, 2 of the model 11-4 and 1 model 5-4) and I love them all! I have carried the 11-4's and 5-4 on several excursions and they held up pretty good but I notice the blade dulled rather quickly compared top some of the "brand name" knives & steels that you can buy on the market. All of my Randall's are the carbon tool steel as compared to some of the store brands that I have such as Benchmade & Buck that have S30V, 20CV & Damascus. I appreciate everyone's feedback so that I pick the right tool for the right job! smile

Sounds like you would like the GTR with a neck sheath. Very nice.

Welcome to the forum.....I have found the Minis to be excellent EDCs. Specifically the #27M Copper. Small for carry, yet very stout and durable for most duties.. Enjoy the search!

Check out a #3 - 5", I read where that was Bo Randalls carry knife. Also, try a Stainless Steel blade.
