Here's two axe knife sets from James that would fit right in any camp or field outing. The hammer marked fossil walrus ivory set is Montana made, while the crotch stag set is a vintage Michigan set. Both dressed in classic Mosher pebble grain leather. There's not many of these around so be on the lookout; they're very collectable. Great job James!

Fantastic sets. Too pretty to use, but we all know that they would perform like a champ. Great pictures.

Thanks Pap. Not my best efforts on the pics. Very late in the day and got short on time. Thanks for the reply. Your opinion means alot. You've actually used many hatchet/knife combos in your lifetime. You've the man.

1/4" stock forgings. Finished roughly .220".
To your point, enough mass to get the job done, light enough to be packable. I can tell you there's enough mass in that blade to make it a good working tool in the real world.

Warren,

Love the sets! Shows completely different looks; the FWI looks like nice meaty handles.

They are Tom, thank you. And both sets would fit different roles. The fossil set would work for larger chores. That hunter blade is stout.
