Just tell everyone you're first in line going the other way.

Remember you only have to run faster than the slowest guy smile
or sneak some salmon in their backpack

It is now legal to have a firearm in National Parks, just not in the visitor centers

It was explained in a local news publication a few years back when a fella used a revolver against a grizzly up in Glacier NP.

You can carry a gun and use it if you need to defend yourself, but recreational shooting is restricted. They compared it to city limits where you can legally carry, but cannot shoot as you wish.

Interesting information from the National Park Service:

"Congress approved a new law allowing loaded
firearms in national parks starting Feb. 22,
2010. That means people can openly carry legal
handguns, rifles, shotguns and other firearms
and also may carry concealed guns as allowed by
state statute.

Guns may not be allowed on shuttle buses,
ferries or boats within certain national
parks, depending on the state.

Other weapons such as bows, swords, and
pellet or BB guns are not affected by the new
law and remain prohibited by the National
Park Service."

Johnny Cash's song will have to change to: "Don't Take Your Bow and Sword to the National Park"
