This is from a retired Air Force friend who wants to sell it and does not know retail. I am not a Chris Reeve collector so I thought I would ask for help. Any comments are welcome.

It is a minty 7” Dagger---#5 of 25
Made in October 1988 in South Africa

Thanks, Eric

I am not a lot of help but Chris Reeve stopped making the one piece knives in 2009, so I think the collector value would be up some especially since it is an earlier knife before he came to the US

Thanks Peter! I looked on the web and could not find another example with the double edged blade without a blood groove.
With only 25 made it must be a rare one.

Hi Eric, I was the only Chris Reeve dealer in Alaska way back when, now I just buy sell and collect for the fun of it. You have a very rare blade there, like you said only 25 were made in each length, They made it in a 4",7", and 9" length, but it is also made in South Africa before Chris and his wife came and settled in Idaho. Any Reeve collector would go nuts for that knife, and if it were mine to list on ebay I would put a buy it now price of $1800. or best offer and accept no less that $1000. for it. Another way to go is list it as an auction and let the collectors fight over it, sometimes a little more risky, but I've seen it pay off big as well. Anyway that's my opinion, for what it's worth. Anne Reeve is always happy answer questions, but she won't put a value on it. Best of luck, George

That is a sweet looking boot knife. I love it. Thanks for sharing this photo.

Where these knife cards dated when the knife was sold or when the knife was made? My buddies is marked 5/25 with a dated card Oct 88, yours is only marked 24 and dated a year earlier. It seems Chris added it to a #/25 in 88. Thanks again.

They made 25 of each length blade, and each blade length was marked 1 thru 25, if memory serves me right the 4" was the first run, then the 7", and finally the 9". He would mark them as they were made back then, not sure about now, but he still issues a born on card with each knife he makes.

Birthdate is when the knife was made.
