There are some chores that require extremely hard use,
particularly during repair. I even feel sorry using my Mora for $10.
For example, the cutting edge contact with the concrete
and kills it, regardless of which blade steel.

I tried several options and find the best for me - Stanley 199.
I read a little about the history of the model. It turns out
it is produced almost unchanged from 1935.
The handle is very comfortable, as on models Gambler and #24.
The only negative - sometimes slippery, on the other hand
he is not afraid of scratches, bumps and falls.
I go on Ebay and ordered a piece of the old, but working.

As it turned out, there are many types of interchangeable blades,
even in the form of a saw, it makes me happy.

I did not like only two points:
1) Spare blade inside the handle as a beanbag.
It was decided just, I wrapped a spare blade piece of cotton
and dripped lubricating oil to protect against corrosion.
2) Plastic cap for tip the blade easily lost.
Glued to her nylon thread and tied to the hole in the handle.

Do not be shy, show your working blade smile

What is that new word mean? Google translate problem? "Work"?

Mainly I used a carpet knife with angled aluminum handle and rectangular blades, old Craftsman stockmen, TL29, "Demo"(misnamed) scout knife, same config later Victorinox, Eka folders, variety of issue SAK/GAK, Mora fixed, issued Gerber leatherman-type, and Spyderco Clipit, even a first model Benchmade AFCK, folders at work, not counting the other fixed blades too/more numerous to mention.
