That and the Turkey Creek area of SE Arizona, rank right up there for any sportsman's bucket list. Did you stop at Datl for a beer? We had a field office in Silver City and a spike office in Reserve. Spent 2+ years off and on in that area. Very interesting country. I was the project Engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers in that area .
